for looks i got the silver slim version (only 65 including all cords and a controller, look for good deals). while i love my ps1, as it was a gift from a close family friend, its value lies a lot within its vintage standing and collection purposes and because of this you will end up paying a lot more for games that arent even all that.... i got suuuper lucky that my ps1 came with a bunch of games, but i wouldnt have been able to get them all via my own money. the ps2 also plays ps1 games (you need a ps1 memory chip for ps1 games, same for ps2 games). It also plays dvds(not very well though), and has a huge selection of games for way less, that are also, far more enjoyable. The gameplay on the ps2 is the perfect combo of nostolgia and enjoyment and iu strongly recomend if you are interested in retro gaming.

kingdom hearts

i recently picked up kingdom hearts for the ps2 for like 6 bucks, and for someone who sucks at videogames but loves the story and combat element, its pretty good. the controls are rather simple, and if you want more of a challenge you can change the difficulty at the beginning of the game. ive heard complaints that the game takes a while to pick up, but honestly i rather liked the drawn out beginning. my personal complaint would be that some of the things you need to do/find to move the plot along are rather precarious and i had to look up the gameplay a couple times, as some of them i honestly never would have guessed.
